SINGLE UNIT is an endeavour into the mechanics of metal, hardcore, abstract and playful electronic music. The music consist of disperse melodic fragments and always-changing scenery, presented in a flow of simultaneous sonic moments.
This comes out of an alchemist approach to recorded music, a restructural process merged with autodidactic instrumentation, forced coincidence and frozen accidents.
The tracks drift in and out of the illusion of a performing band, interchanging between revealing and concealing the instruments and their locations. They present themselves as dense blocks of information calling for a second listening. Parallell strings of actions, repeated incidents, modified revolving tunes and one-time events make their presence known, pointing towards a comprehensive experience over time.
SINGLE UNIT is the space for combining electronic and intuitive processes with tight structure and genre-referring/defying dynamics. But more than that, to combine fascinations, play around and see what happens.
